Robert Strafford Scott

Robert Strafford Scott, 91, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.

He was born Dec. 7, 1921, to Wilmer and Augusta Scott in Rocky Mount, Va.

Robert was a proud veteran who served his Country in U.S. Navy during World War II, and later became a Engineering Technician for the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Scott; and children, Cynthia Reithlingshoefer, Robert and Debbie Scott, Janet and Darrell Tenney, and David Scott.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:30 p.m., with the Memorial Service following, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952, would be greatly appreciated.
