Gloria Jean Caskey Weeden

Gloria Jean Caskey Weeden, 77, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, in the comfort of her own home.

She was born May 25, 1935, in Sterling, Ill., the daughter of George B. and Jeannette R. Caskey.

Gloria graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill., and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she met her husband of 57 years, Delmar D. Weeden. She retired from Madison General (Meriter) Hospital in Madison, Wis., where she served as the Cancer Registry Registrar.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Delmar D. Weeden; son, David (Betsy) Weeden of Prattville, Ala.; daughter, Diane (Arley) Weeden of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Christopher and Alexander of Prattville, and Connor Brock of Rochester, N.Y.; and brothers, John C. Caskey of South Bend, Ind., and Alan R. Caskey of Glenview, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and relatives may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the home of Del and Gloria Weeden. Memorials may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238; or American Cancer Society, 992 Tamiami Trail, Unit C-2, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.

Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte, Fla.
