Connie M. Bachant, 86, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.

She was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Connie moved to this area in December 1986 from Clifton, N.J. She was retired from the Social Security Administration. Connie was an avid bingo player, and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank; sons, Jim (Diane) of Marlboro, N.J., Frank (Minerva) of Port Charlotte, and John (Cathy) of Verona, N.J.; sisters, Mary Lyons of Parrish, Fla., and Helen (Charles) Saunders of Longwood, Fla.; brother, Mike (Pat) Martino of Pennington, N.J.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Connie was preceded in death by her four brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2500 Easy St., Port Charlotte.

Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte.
