PORT CHARLOTTE — Tampa Bay’s Luke Scott started in right field Thursday, his first turn in the outfield since July of 2011.

Scott was a regular left-fielder for the Orioles and played much of the season with a partially-torn labrum in his shoulder. The final blow for that injury came against St. Louis on June 28, 2011, he said, when he crashed into the wall catching a long fly from Matt Holliday.
