Three-car crash backs up traffic

PORT CHARLOTTE — A three-car pileup on U.S. 41 just north of Forrest Nelson Boulevard closed one lane and backed up traffic around noon Thursday.
One person was taken to an undisclosed local hospital with minor injuries, according to Dee Hawkins-Garland, spokeswoman for Charlotte County Fire/EMS.
