PORT CHARLOTTE — Dan Rafter and Grady Wells got key base hits while Port Charlotte’s pitchers left Braden River runners stranded all night for a 4-2 victory Wednesday in a District 7A-11 game.

It was Port Charlotte’s second straight win after starting the season 0-4, with defending state champion Venice coming to town Friday.
