Exorcising ghosts of IMPAC

Enterprise Charlotte Economic Council has made an offer to purchase the former IMPAC univerity building on W. Marion Ave in Punta Gorda for $2.5 million. According to ECEC president Lew Albert, the group plans to assing the contract to Charlotte County who wants to use the building for a business and technology incubator.

Enterprise Charlotte Economic Council has signed a $2.5 million deal to purchase the former IMPAC building in Punta Gorda. The county economic development department wants to turn the building into a business and technology incubator to help entrepreneurs launch new businesses. The two-story, 55,000 sq. ft. building is equipped with multitude of conference rooms, workstations and a 247-seat auditorium.

The RE/MAX Anchor Realty broker, who is assisting Fisher Auction of Pompano Beach, Fla., with the auction of the education complex on Marion Avenue, believes that whatever took place there in the past should not tarnish its future.
