The City of Punta Gorda will be spearheading the Helping the Community Food Drive, collecting nonperishable food items from today to Feb. 15 to benefit the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition.

This time of year, donations are low but the demand is high. The Homeless Coalition needs the community’s help in restocking its pantry, and the City of Punta Gorda has a plan. Drop boxes will be available between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:
