MURDOCK — It’s a dirty, stinky mess that will cost taxpayers millions to fix. And while Charlotte County commissioners may disagree on where the roughly $2.4 million to clean up the algae-infested Sunshine Lake and Sunrise Waterway should come from, they all agree on one thing: It needs to be done.

More importantly, it needs to be done quickly.
