LAKE MARY (AP) — Central Florida authorities say an attempted robbery during the sale of an all-terrain vehicle led to a shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Heather Smith tells the Orlando Sentinel that two men trying to sell the ATV through a Craigslist ad were confronted by two armed men Saturday afternoon at a Lake Mary apartment complex.

Smith says one of the men selling the ATV was armed as well and exchanged gunfire with the attackers.

One attacker was killed. Smith says the other was shot several times but fled the scene on foot. Deputies later found the man hiding in a nearby home.
