Charlotte County Utilities has rescinded the precautionary boil-water notice for the greater Port Charlotte area, following satisfactory completion of a bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe for consumption. The affected area includes CCU customers east of Collingswood Boulevard from the Port Charlotte Town Center mall to the Peace River bridges.
