Traffic stop leads
to drug arrest

PORT CHARLOTTE — A traffic stop led to the arrest of a woman on drug-trafficking charges after nearly $5,500 in cash and various prescription pills were discovered inside the vehicle, according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s report.

Patricia Ann South, 37, of the 12100 block of Chancellor Boulevard, Port Charlotte, was charged with trafficking in hydromorphone, possession of oxycodone, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
