Joan M. Laliberte, 72, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Port Charlotte.

She was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Manchester, N.H., and moved to Port Charlotte nine years ago from there.

Joan was a retired foster parent and an active member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be missed but not forgotten.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Linda Laliberte and Lisa Laliberte, both of Port Charlotte; sons, John Tran and Paul Korn, both of Massachusetts; and granddaughter, Patricia Ann Laliberte.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 1441 Spear St., Port Charlotte, FL 33948.
