Elizabeth L. McNamara Holefelder, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Aston, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital.

Born in Conshohocken, Pa., she lived in Chester and Village Green, Pa., until moving to Florida one year ago.

Elizabeth was formerly employed by the County of Delaware at the Court House in Media and was also a local business owner at the Village Green Senior Community. In her youth, she enjoyed dancing and roller skating at the Great Leopard Rink with her best friend, Mary, where she met her husband, John. An avid reader, Mrs. Holefelder enjoyed golf, traveling, especially her trip to Ireland, and was a Phillies fan. But the most important thing to her was her family.

Survivors include her son, John J. “Jack” (Faith) Holefelder, Jr.; her daughter, Joan (William) Holefelder Gains; her brother, Donald McNamara; grandchildren, Diane Holefelder, Liza Warfel, John. J Holefelder III, and Sharon Holefelder McKenna; seven great-grandchildren; and her extended family, John, Michael, Colleen and Casey Haggerty. Mrs. Holefelder was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, John J. Holefelder; her parents, Thomas and Rose Hushen McNamara; and sister, Rita McNamara Miller; and brother, Robert McNamara.

Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Joseph and burial were held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, Memorial gifts to USO, St. James Alumni Association or Rotaplast International, www.whiteluttrell.com.
