EAST OF PUNTA GORDA — Local businessman and Muscle Car City owner Rick Treworgy has purchased a 20,000-plus-square-foot facility near the Punta Gorda Airport that once was slated to house the luxury boat maker Australia Yachts, according to officials from the Charlotte County Economic Development Office and the Industrial Development Authority.

According to Economic Development Director Tom Patton, Treworgy closed on the building last month.
