Officials: Center’s vision sails on

PUNTA GORDA — The Charlotte Harbor Community Sailing Center and the Charlotte County Family YMCA, which had been vying contentiously for a lease to the city’s Bayfront Center until the City Council selected the Y Wednesday, have had difficulty working together in the past.
But they share a dream of seeing the facility become the base for a quality sailing program — and, thanks to both of them, that dream finally may be destined to become reality.
