EAST OF PUNTA GORDA — A woman was arrested Wednesday for stabbing another woman at a local hangout known as the “mud hole,” according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s report.

Angela Denise Sutton, 27, of the 29000 block of Boyce Road, Punta Gorda, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after she allegedly stabbed another woman in the abdomen with a pocketknife at an area near Pelican Drive and Grove Boulevard in the Charlotte Ranchettes area.
