Alan T. Holtz, 54, of North Port, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at his home.

He was born July 5, 1958, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of William and Vivian (nee Miller) Holtz.

Alan was a member of American Legion Post 254, and AMVETS Post 312, both of North Port.

He is survived by his wife, Mindi of Venice, Fla.; son Alan Aaron (Summer) Holtz of North Port; daughter, Savannah Holtz of Arizona; and brother, John (Cheryl) Holtz of Clermont, Fla.

A celebration of Alan’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at American Legion Post 254 in North Port.
