Roy V. Cook
Roy V. Cook, 70, of North Port, Fla., formerly of Kingston, N.H., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
He was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Lynn, Mass., to Roy R. Cook and Viola P. (Cook) Saulenas.
Roy served his country in The United States Marine Corps and was a retiree of United Airlines. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, he loved to travel and always looked forward to annual vacations with his family. Roy filled his spare time working on projects around his home and yard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; devoted son, Bryan Cook; daughter-in-law, Michelle; grandchildren, Colby and Kasey; sisters, Violet Cook, Glenda Cook, Cynthia (Leo Plante) Saulenas; brothers, Russell (Heidi) Cook, and Larry Saulenas; sisters-in-law, Donna (Gary) Couture, and Lee Laurie (Robert); nieces and nephews, Robyn Couture, Ryan Couture, Erik Carratu, Jamison Cook, and Christian Cook; mother-in-law, Doris McLean; and brother-in-law, Michael McLean. He is preceded in death by his mother, Viola P. Saulenas; father Roy R. Cook; and stepmother, Dorothy M. Cook.
Interment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date. A memorial mass will be also held at a later date at St. Agnes Church in Middleton, Mass., where Linda and Roy married nearly 45 years ago. For online condolences, please visit www.mckeenorthport.com.
