Clare Klinger (nee Keller), 89, of North Port, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.

She was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pa., the second oldest of six girls.

Clare had a great personality, all who knew her liked her and she was fun to be with. She and her beloved husband, Walter, moved to North Port in June of 1986. They went back up north several months each year to avoid the hurricane season. Clare was active in North Port attending meetings, the Senior Center, and the Writing Club. She lived a full and interesting life and will be missed by many.

Clare is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Walter. She proudly and joyfully raised four fine children, Walter, Tom, Nancy and Annette. Clare has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Living Waters Lutheran Church in North Port.

Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte, Fla.
