Helen “Pat” Anderson, 84, of North Port, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Mission Viejo, Calif., with her family by her side.

She was born March 17, 1928, in Fargo, N.D., and spent the majority of her life in Des Plaines, Ill.

Pat moved to the Port Charlotte, Fla., area in 1981. Her greatest pleasure was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and traveling the world over. Pat was loved and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, John Anderson; daughters, Robin (John) and Julie (Dave); sons, Robert (Judy), Michael (Laurie) and Andy (Stacy); grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa), Matthew, Jessica (Andreas), Jennifer, Rebecca, Elle, Jacob, William, Krissy, Jonathan and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Brittyn and Josiah.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Special Olympics, which was her favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the Omega Society and the Gardens Crematory.
