Public: Where’s my commissioner?
NORTH PORT — Unreturned phone calls, a voice mail box left full for weeks on a public cellphone, complaints from citizens of being unreachable. These are some of the issues people have voiced about North Port City Commissioner Cheryl Cook, who has been in office since November, during public comment at Monday’s City Commission meeting.
Calls to Cook’s city-issued cell-phone by the Sun went unanswered all week, and her voice mail remained full during that time. She agreed to answer questions via emails sent to her city email address only.
