Animals rescued from alleged hoarder

Volunteer Barbara Triston loads cats into a truck headed to EARS Animal Rescue Sanctuary Tuesday. Dozens of neglected animals were found living in squalor and malnourished at a Kilborne Avenue home in Englewood.

ENGLEWOOD — Leslie Taylor checked on a house for a friend who had been hospitalized Tuesday, and found dozens of animals covered in filth, neglected and in an overwhelming stench inside from animal waste.
“I came to help and I walked into this,” Taylor said.
