CHARLOTTE HARBOR — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested four people at the Knights Inn, 4100 Tamami Trail, Charlotte Harbor, on a total of 25 drug charges Tuesday. Arrested were Corey Arkee Platt, 36, of the 21400 block of Mallory Avenue, Port Charlotte; Lawrence “Larry” Charles Dipietro Jr., 47, and Cami Sue Lefresne, 45, both of the 2200 block of Aaron Street, Port Charlotte; and Heather Lee Hanlin, 27, of the 23300 block of Scenic Avenue, Charlotte Harbor. Narcotics intelligence information learned that Dipietro was staying at the hotel with Platt and went to their room. Lafresne answered the door and saw Platt coming out of the bathroom. Also in the room was Hanlin. Consent to search was given by Hanlin, who had rented the room. Seized was crack cocaine, a Pyrex pipe, a metal push rod found in the toilet, two digital scales, a metal smoking pipe, four metal spoons, a plastic pill crusher and numerous syringes, all with cocaine residue.

Detectives said they made three undercover drug buys with Platt on Jan. 14, Jan. 22 and Feb. 4. He is charged with three felony counts of sale and delivery of cocaine, four counts of possession of cocaine, and one count each for possession of opiates and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is a convicted felon and remains in jail on no bond. Narcotics detectives made two previous drug buys from Dipietro on Nov. 27, 2012, and Jan. 28 of this year. He was charged with two counts of sale and delivery of cocaine, two counts of possession of cocaine, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of sale and delivery of hydromorphone and one possession of hydromorphone. He remains in jail on no bond. Lefresne is a convicted felon and remains in jail on $5,000 bond. Hanlin also remains in jail on $6,000 bond. Both are charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drugs without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
