PUNTA GORDA — If the city’s website had links to literature that kept repeating the phrase “Punta Gorda best” in reference to places to sail, fish, bicycle, walk, visit or live, it would show up prominently in searches on websites like Google, Bing and Yahoo.
This tactic of search engine optimization was among several strategies in a proposed marketing campaign that Councilwoman Kim Devine and three other women pitched to the City Council Wednesday.
