NORTH PORT — The AMVETS Post 312 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a benefit lobster dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at 7050 Chancellor Blvd. The dinner, open to the public, will include a 1 ¼-pound Maine lobster, clam chowder, baby red potatoes, salad, dinner roll and dessert for $22.50. A pot roast dinner will also be available, which includes all items except the clam chowder, for $8.50.

Tickets for the lobster dinner must be purchased by Sunday, Feb. 3 and are available at the Post 312 canteen (bar). A pound auction will follow dinner. The dinner and auction will benefit The Gabriel House of Care in memory of Walter Wirsz. Gabriel House of Care is an affordable, extended-stay hospital hospitality house for caregivers and cancer and organ transplant patients located on the Mayo Clinic Florida campus in Jacksonville.
