BOCA GRANDE — Mote Marine Laboratory is expanding its presence with a new office opening Wednesday in a town dubbed by its chamber of commerce the “Tarpon Capital of the World.”

The main branch of Mote Marine, located on Longboat Key in Sarasota, invites the public to attend a ribbon-cutting for a new satellite office at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 480 East Railroad Ave., Boca Grande. The open house is from noon to 4 p.m.
