When Englewood pizzeria owner, Glenn Comeau, claims that he serves “the best gourmet flatbread pizza in Florida,” he’s not just kidding around.

Flatbread of Englewood pizza is made from only the finest ingredients. “Chopping fresh vegetables and herbs and preparing sauces, meatballs and pizza dough from scratch is quite labor intensive,” explains Comeau, as he points to containers of fresh mozzarella, herbed ricotta, baby spinach, vine-ripened tomatoes, mushrooms, eggplant, apple bacon toppings, Italian pepperoni and Genoa sausage. He uses only extra virgin olive oil to ensure that his signature pizza crust is crispy and baked to perfection. So far, 11 specialty pizzas are listed on the menu, along with house green and baby spinach salads, and Comeau plans to offer new pizza and salad choices on a regular basis. For dessert lovers, homemade ice-cream sandwiches are being offered in addition to weekly specials.
