Mustangs get past Pirate girls

PORT CHARLOTTE — The Port Charlotte High School girls tennis team fell to visiting Lakewood Ranch 5-2 on Wednesday.
Jesse Hevia and Nicole Bifaretti picked up singles wins for the Pirates (2-3). Hevia beat Selena Gomez 6-1, 6-2, and Bifaretti beat Jesse Kroupa 6-1, 6-3.
