James Lewis Rowe Jr.

James Lewis Rowe Jr., 53, of Englewood, Fla., passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1959, in Bradenton, Fla.

James had been a life long resident of Florida. He was employed as an Engineer/EMT for N. River Fire District in Manatee County until 1998. James was an avid fisherman and a charter boat captain of the “Let’s Go” in Cortez, Fla.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife and companion of 22 years, Susan J. Rowe of Englewood; mother, Juanita C. Knutsen of Macclenny, Fla.; sons, James L. Rowe III of Englewood, and Robert L. (Tracey) Goldy of Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughters, Sherri (Larry) Bowman of Tennessee, and Jaclyn S. Goldy of Cape May, N.J.; brother, James Cris (Cristine) Rowe of Wirsdale, Fla.; sister, Jackie (David) Wright of Macclenny, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time at 4:30 p.m. today Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 S. McCall Road, with Pastors David and Jennifer Ragan, officiating. You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com.
