Gerard M. “Jerry” Haley, 73, of Cape Haze, Fla., passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, and is now with his Lord.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., March 14, 1939.

Jerry worked for General Motors for 15 years, and traveled for his employer for 10 years. He also lived in Denver, Colo.; Hays, Kan.; Rantoul, Ill.; Wichita, Kan.; and Alden (Torch Lake), Mich. Jerry was a General Motors dealer in Petoskey, Mich., for 15 years, and he retired to Cape Haze in 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, whom he married in 1976; children, Jerry (Paula) of Hays, Scott of San Jose, Calif., Lisa (Jeff) Fetter of Wichita, and Sean (Aubrey) of Mulvane, Kan.; grandchildren, Kyle, Mariah, Raquel, Maharlika, Asia and Kiera; and three step-grandchildren.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at American Legion Post 113, 3436 Indiana Road, Placida, Fla.

Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte, Fla.
