Gary E. Sides, 64, of Rotonda West, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.

He was born March 1, 1948, in Ridley Park, Pa.

Gary moved to the Englewood, Fla., area three months ago from Titusville, Fla. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary was a Senior Aerospace Technician for the Kennedy Space Center. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, and a graduate of Sun Valley High School of Aston, Pa. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Tracey Sweet of San Jose, Calif.; son, James Sweet of Titusville; mother, Evelyn Sides of Englewood; sisters, Linda (Sam) Ray of St. Michaels, Md., and Donna (Steve) Senft of York, Pa.; brother, William Armstrong of Napier, W.Va.; grandchildren, Killian, Kayla and Hayley; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood. You may express your condolences to the family at www.lemonbayfh.com.
