A little bit of ‘Moxy’ is a good thing

The word moxie is not often used anymore, or at least I don’t hear it much.
I’m not sure if Deborah and Tom Plant of Punta Gorda Isles looked up the meaning of the word before naming their new family member Moxy. Then again, they are probably aware of the meaning, just not sure they were ready to see the definition of it in living form with fur and four legs. Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines moxie as energy, pep, courage, determination, know-how and expertise.
