I was recently looking at the magazine and book shelves in a local Publix when I saw a new shelf of children’s books.

How wonderful! As a senior citizen who grew up with a love of books, I sometimes worry whether or not our young people are reading like they should. Not to worry. Most children are connecting with the written word. Children are reading books at and from their libraries, from bookstores, department stores and online. Children’s books are being written, published and sold.
