ROTONDA WEST — The coyotes roaming here and just about everywhere else in Florida are here to stay, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission biologist said Tuesday night.

FWC wildlife biologist Angeline Scotten and Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Dan Cotton told a group of about 30 people at the Rotonda West Community Center how to live with coyotes, and what to expect if they try to shoot them.
