DEEP CREEK — Four days ago, a local couple would have heard the squeal of the sliding door if an intruder were to come inside using the glass door in the back of their home. However, four days ago, Paul Foley, 49, fixed the squeak.

That’s why Foley and his wife, Michelle, 36, didn’t hear an intruder enter their home, located in the 26000 block of Sandhill Boulevard, until he knocked on their bedroom door with the barrel of his gun at about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
