PORT CHARLOTTE — Port Charlotte High School’s softball team saw its offense grind to a halt in a 7-0 loss to Manatee on Tuesday night.

The Pirates (0-4) managed one hit off Hurricane pitchers Kelly Gault and Hailey Hopkins. It was an infield grounder by Port Charlotte pitcher Maria Suarez that was just fair inside the third base line in the bottom of the second inning.
