Mariah Noble gathers in another Bulldog rebound and puts it right back up for 2 of her 5 points. Noble, “played great tonight”, said Coach Joe Davis. Noble dominated the boards on both ends of the court.
The DeSoto County girls’ basketball team’s 40-28 win over rival Hardee wasn’t a thing of beauty. It wasn’t a particularly exciting or drama-filled contest. What it was, however, was a win. It made the Lady Bulldogs undefeated for the year.
Sure, it was the first contest of 2013 but it got them off on the right foot as they go into the “home stretch” of their season. Only a rescheduled game at Frostproof stands in the way of the Bulldogs as they play four of their last five games in front of the home town fans. Two of the games are important district games with DeSoto County hosting the district contests beginning on Jan. 28.
