Charles W. Snedeker

Charles W. Snedeker, 77, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

He was born Dec. 31, 1935, in New York.

Charles moved to Arcadia in 1987 from Pahokee, Fla. He was a working cowboy, spending most of his working years employed by Babcock Ranch. Charles loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting deer, pigs, rabbit and quail. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nocatee, Fla. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Josephine Snedeker of Arcadia; sons, Charles Snedeker Jr. of Arkansas, and Bruce Snedeker of Orlando, Fla.; stepsons, Edward, Christopher and Michael Kalna of Tennessee, and Keith Kalna of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters, Debra Snedeker of Orlando, and Beverly Gallagher of New York; brother, Kenneth Snedeker of Alabama; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Joshua Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Eric Romick officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com.
