John S. Nagy

John S. Nagy, 66, of Lake Suzy, Fla., passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.

He was born March 17, 1946, in Fayette County, Pa., to James and Irene Nagy.

John was a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio and worked for over 31 years, as a Tool and Die Maker with the Delphi Packard Electric Division of General Motors in Warren, Ohio. He and his wife moved to this area in 1998. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a parishioner of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church in Punta Gorda, Fla. As a Corvette enthusiast and owner, John was a charter member of the Venice Corvette Club. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a football and Nascar fan.

John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Anita Nagy of Lake Suzy; children, Jill (Brian) Tominey, Jay Nagy, Jennifer (Thomas Jr.) Nagy-Dively, Janelle (John) Henlen; step-sons, Randall Wallace, Christopher (Holli) Wallace; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, Dec., 7, 2012, at the Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952, with the Rev. Tim Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in memory of John be made to the Animal Welfare league at awl.org or to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org.
