NORTH PORT — Ben Germain Barber, a 16-year-old homeschooled student in North Port, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout after overseeing the collection and refurbishment of more than 30 bicycles for those in need.
Ben achieved Scouting’s highest honor through Boy Scout Troop 1001 of Nokomis, under Scoutmaster John Eckert.
