CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Area tourism revenues seem to be rebounding despite the economic challenges in recent years.

Charlotte County collected $200,014 in tourist development taxes in December, an increase of 22 percent from December 2011, when $163,828 was collected, according to figures released Thursday by the Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau.
