First Baptist Church Arcadia will hold its fourth annual Miles for Missions 5K Run/Walk starting at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Charlotte Digg Moon (1840-1912), called “Lottie,” became a legend because of her commitment to missionary work at a time when an educated woman from a wealthy southern family didn’t usually leave her home, family, job and marriage proposal to travel all the way to China. But for 39 years Lottie Moon labored, chiefly in Tengchow and P’ingtu.
